[Digital BW] Re: Removing chips from carts

2006-12-19 by john dean

Ernst,

I would definitely ask for all of your money back from Media Street.
Not only that they need to be aware of the situation. You ordered the
latest versions? You might want to check the serial numbers with him
to make sure. They did have some on their website before the latest
incarnation. They are selling their G Chromes in them now. So if he
tells you anything I would also like to know. What I can't figure out
in all this mess that Media Street is having and now Cone ( possibly
from Media Street also) is that Lyson has been successfully selling
their Cave Paints in 3rd party carts for years and I have never heard
of a problem. They just might sell us emptys also if we say they are
for some special cleaning fluid or something.

I know the guy to email about this at Media Stree. His name is
Michael Levy. He is a good guy and has done the best on his end to
make this work. He told me that the problem they had with the first
batch was chip recognition and placement at the factory, whereever
that is.

This was the last email he sent me about six months ago:

Hi John,

Better late then never. Our testing has been completed and these new
cartridges worked successfully. We will probably have these in stock
within a month or so. I assume you will only be looking for one set?

Please advise.
Michael
