We sue companies that make outrageous claims like that. When I was at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission I would have loved to nail Epson on that claim. The U.S. is often accused of having too many lawyers, but that's often by the companies that would rather compete via false advertising than on the basis of price and quality. Write to newspapers and government agencies and educate the people.
