The 1280 has been notorious for clogging.  Some people report few
clogging problems, but my sense of it (having been reading this forum
for around five years now) is that they are a small minority (I'd
guess one out of 10 or 15 if I had to give it a number).  Back when
the 1280 was the most commonly used desktop printer, a dominant theme
in this forum was clogging problems.

The 1280 produces excellent BO results.  If you want to do BO with a
1280, then keep the Epson dye inks in the other channels and just use
Eboni for the K.  That will greatly reduce potential clogging problems.
