Better colors, blacks were alot more clear
it has awesome detail......... I used gloss, semi gloss, matte
I printed pics from lapeer dragway on both printers...........
same papers.......... and same settings.......... and got a better quality out of the canon quality of the canon is 4800 x 2400
epson is I think 5288x1440 something like that so your getting better dpi per sqin
Just my opinion here.......... not a professional at printers..............

What does "better" mean? "Better" in what way - smoother, more detail,
better blacks, better gradations? Something else? What papers are you using?

I recently bought the Canon Pro9000 wide format
I found it to print better than my Epson R1800
only 500 for it....... for beautiful prints on pretty much all
papers.......
well worth the investment............

If you are not in a hurry, you can watch the Epson site.
Occasionally they have refurbished ones. That is where I got mine after I
wore the last one out. Other than that, keep checking EBay. They frequently
are listed there after people upgrade to the newer Epson printers, and with
another new one out . . .
