Re: For Roy re QTR, R2400 & Rear Sheet Feed problem

2007-01-14 by Gary Benson

Hi Roy,

I just uninstalled QTR (using the Uninstall.exe utility in the
QuadtoneRIP folder) and then reinstalled QTR 2.4.3.10. I was
surprised that when I installed the new version it didn't ask me which
printer models I wanted to install (per Tom Moore's write up and my
experience when I first installed QTR). In fact, when I started up
QTR it had my three printers listed (1280, 2200 & 2400). Does it get
this info from Windows installed printers now? Anyways, assuming the
uninstall/reinstall went ok, I tried printing my image using the
Manual Roll (Rear) setting again. Placement Centered checked, of course.

Same problem again, no white border on the leading edge of the paper,
which of course, when you're looking at the print after it's out of
the printer is not the left edge, it's the right edge. I can't
believe I was misstating it all this time. As I was watching it come
out of the printer from my vantage point it was the left edge, but
looking at the completed print with the correct orientation, it's the
right edge of course. Sorry if this created unneccessary confusion.

I was really hoping this reinstall would do the trick. Let me know if
you can think of any way for me to help diagnose the cause of this
problem on my system/printer. Thanks for all your help!
