As long as there are knives and other tools of destruction/construction there will be stories of accidents and misfortune. Many of those could have been prevented. I don't think that users need to be scared away from using them. We don't stop eating because a few people have cut bits of their fingers. Practice good shop awareness; teach proper handling of dangerous good, tools and materials. By the right tool for the right job. Sarah, if you plan to cut big prints, seriously look into an extension or how to add one on to the rota trimmers in all their flavors.
