I get calls about color problems and am always suprised they haven't checked nozzles. When they do there's unually one color badly out. I do a nozzle check before almost every print, certainly before every hard won final. It sounds silly, and unnecessary, but I do eventually learn something... There's no indication anything like this should be necessary until you find a group like this.
