Paul, Well, Epson tech support said I shouldn't have to do a head alignment on this printer. As for the horizontal banding I was occasionally seeing, they said that's due to clogged nozzles or paper feeding issues, not head alignment. They also said I shouldn't be using the Epson premium glossy for head alignments even though the manual and the setup from the control panel says you can.
