I don't see how your printer would get damaged from non-use but you might have some dried ink clogging the nozzles. I would start by running a nozzle check then up to 3 cleanings if necessary. If you are still clogged then let the printer sit for awhle (at least a few hours) and run another nozzle check. In the future, run a nozzle check every 4 or 5 days during periods of non-use. Doesn't take much ink and well worth it to keep the printer happy.
