If you were doing B&W with the OEM ink mix and a rip, it used the LK, a
relatively dense ink, as the main image forming substance.  So little of the
LC and LM are required that they don't overload the paper.  I use that basic
approach for my 2200 and the K4+cm approach. It works well even when an LLK
