Re: banding with R220 using Eboni MIS ink for BO printing

2007-01-27 by Philip Schwartz

If you are getting perfect nozzle checks and the print head alignment
patterns are not showing banding, then running more cleaning cycles
isn't going to help. If you are still not getting perfect nozzle
checks, then you have some choices:
- wait it out. Sometimes just waiting a day or two will allow air
bubbles to dissipate and the ink to flow correctly. Seems like
enough time has already passed and your situation has not improved.
- Some folks recommend putting cleaning fluid on the landing pad and
waiting a day or two. My experience is that most blockages are
due to air bubbles, and this won't solve that problem, though
  the wait might help ...
- take more drastic action and force cleaning fluid through the
print head. I have had good results doing this, but I can't
recommend it to anyone else as it can easily destroy your print
  head.

Re timestamps: I heard that there was a problem on the mail servers
that caused delays and messages to be delivered late and out of sequence.
