If not, you can download one from here: http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/Test-files.htm >Im going to make a guess, that if i reduce one of the >darker greys in the color controls, perhaps that will >in some way reduce the effect further. If you are familiar with Photoshop curves, they are much more powerful tools than the driver sliders. You might be able to eliminate the flat spot fairly easily with a curve that increases the contrast there. If you can sample the inks, it would be interesting to see if one of the inks is obviously wrong. If a dark ink is in a light spot or vice versa, an un-curable flat spot might result in that color. Try printing straight C & M curves. That is, take the 21-step file, convert it to RGB. Then go to the image adjustment curves. Pull 2 of the colors to 255 flat lines. The image should be the pure color you want to test -- Magenta or cyan. Then print that image. Have the driver set to No Color Adjustment. You'll then see if the cross-over, usually between 50% and 75%, is smooth or results in a flat spot. The C & M ramps should look alike. Good luck. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
