The R340 / MIS UT-R2N installation was a success--mostly. While I'll write this up to put in the "Installation" thread, I thought I would simply report that it worked as expected. I started with the Eboni (K) cart in the black position--and the printer choked--wouldn't get past the first error message on the LCD printer screen. I retried install after a hard reset--still stopped. Then I hooked up, started the printer and the PC software / driver installation--and this time I got to error messages on the cartridge-- PK was not being recognized. I switched to the PK cart, and this time the installation sailed through. Obviously, the Eboni cart is 'defective.' After some reading up, I download PR's 21-step test file--and, using PSE 3.0 with default settings and NO ICC, printed it on 53lb RR Premium Gloss. The result was perfect, to my totally-untrained eye (rather, trained 40 and 20 years ago, with fading visual recall)--perhaps a bit "flat" but with flawless gradations. I tried printing a B&W test photo InkjetFly sent me--and again, a print that seems to me to be missing only a broad tone range. I've ordered the MIS 4 oz bottle set, and will plan to install the Inkjetfly CIS shortly. FWIW, MIS is sending another Eboni cart and a new chip n/c; I also ordered a resetter and some solvent. Now, back to reading PR's and CJ's files and figuring out how to fine tune the software / printer output end, and how to create a workflow for current files from a D80. Any tips or suggestions, offer away--and thanks to all who have encouraged me so far. Jim
