>Epson recommends to take the cartridges out when transporting the printer. Elevation changes can cause cartridges that have been opened to leak. I think that is one reason they recommend taking the carts out. >Would it be ok if i spray some windex on the pad and take the >cartridges out? There would still be ink in the heads. I've flushed the heads on printers and then transported them with no carts. I try to have a piece of paper of tape over the inlets to keep the dust out. I wonder if one could find some rubber tubing that fit the inlets, fill them with distilled water, and then do a cleaning cycle. That might clean out the heads enough, but I'm speculating.
