Mis should send you new carts if it was their mistake! There really is no way to clean the carts as the sponge in each chamber holds lots of ink. I recently changed the my Generation's 3 yellow to Generation's 4 yellow. I took about 60 sheets of an 8x10 purge image to get the old yellow out and then I'm not sure if I got it all. Don't waste your time - Mis should supply new carts for you. Best, John V.
