Paul: Like Leslie, I have a 2200 and use MIS cartridges and inks (UT7) for B/W prints exclusively. As he notes, the supplied stoppers are small and difficult to work with. Past experience refilling Canon cartridges inspired me to drill out the fill hole for a 6-32 Allen head set screw turned in flush with the cartridge surface and sealed with a bit of masking tape. I have since abandoned the set screws and simply tape the hole closed with electrician's plastic tape. I am careful to wipe away any vestige of ink near the hole. In some instances I re-use the bit of tape, but more often use a new piece. As Leslie suggests, I also check all cartridges when refilling. I generally go after the cartridges based on the number of prints since the last refill. The cartridges are attacked based on experience with the machine, and printing, rather than a specific count of pages. Counting may be the road to experience.
