Appreciate the welcoming!

I use an Epson 2200 and have yet to achieve true black. I have tried lots of 
different routines and can't get rid of sometimes bold, sometimes subtle 
color casts. I use a Color Vision Spyder to calibrate my monitor, and 
everyone in my workflow have that profile in place. I have tried numerous 
suggestions to no avail.

I haven't read the archives as yet, so for now, I will keep my questions to 
a minimum. But, am I wasting my time by not changing out all my color inks 
for blacks? I bought the 2200 as a result of Epson's claims to provide 
beautiful color or black and white prints. It makes me a little nervous to 
commit my printer to one medium only.
