Compare in what way? To which inkset- dye or pigments? On what type of paper? Are you concerned with image quality or image longevity? If you print on glossy paper and are not concerned with image longevity, there is no reason to switch from Epson apart from cost or wanting to use bulk inks. If you're concerned with archivalness, pigments will be much better, but will not print well on glossy surfaces. This may have improved with some recent papers somewhat. There will be a narrower gamut with pigments, but when I switched to Generations years ago, for image longevity reasons, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they printed- on matte papers. There is nothing magical about Generations or any other inkset (and some have been a disaster for some of us) speaking generally. Until you have a specific reason to switch to another set, I'd say stick with what you have. Epson inks will give you the best image quality and there will be things like profiles available for them that will not be as available with a third party inkset until you are ready to create your own.
