Thanks for the response. I'm using a mac, doing black only printing, and I've tried some variations with glossy settings and then trying to move the tones around with both dot gain profiles (a la Clayton) and gamma settings. However, it's just not getting close enough, mainly with lost detail in the shadows. I have a feeling that it's just not possible to do 2880 with matte on this printer. Maybe in the future when I get a bigger model (4000?) it might be able to do 2880 with matte. I'd like to find out if that's a possibility. > > Changing paper type affects the ink limits.
