I believe that if you put a PK or PKN chip on the Eboni cartridge you will get all the options.   
Check Paul Roark's website, I think that is where I saw the hack about changing the chips.   
As Milan said you will have different ink coverage depending on the setting you use.  I've 
gone to using Photo RPM when using glossy and silver type papers (Crane SR, etc.) on my 
220s as it does eliminate the very faint microbanding that non RPM shows under a glass,  but 
haven't seen a need for it with matte papers.  I have been using UTR2 and UT3D inksets with 
profiles so I'm not exactly sure how the BO would fare.  The chips are easy enough to change 
and it's easy enough to run  few test prints at different glossy settings to see what happens.  
It's the great thing about that printer it's cheap enough to play all you want!
