Digital BW, The Print

I have a 2400 and had problems printing with CS3. I had a couple of problems. One was advanced bw was grayed out. The other was that it would not let me keep the changes I made to the paper size. It kept reverting back to the  8 1/2  x 11 default size. I am using Windows Vista and the Epson driver for Vista and have dual 2.4ghz processors. I contacted Epson and they told me to open another program and try printing a file through that program w/o actually making the print and that way I could determine whether it was the driver or the program. The other program let me print the way I wanted to. So it seems this is a glitch with CS3. It is a hassle but I got it to print through CS3 by going through the Windows control panel, clicking printers, then setting my paper size through the printers preferences. The unavailable advanced bw I corrected by clicking the ink levels tab a couple of times so it could recognize that I had the correct ink cartridge for the paper I chose.
