Terry,
If, after changing from Matte black to Photo Black, or vice versa, 
you go to Page Setup, Properties, Maintenance, Printer and Option 
information, you then can choose your cartridge option, which will 
force the correct range of paper options. Better than waiting for it 
to happen by switching printer off and on, or by repeatedly trying to 
access the correct range of papers, until the drivers decide to kick 
in!!
