A duotone is actually a single channel grayscale image, with some tinting
data in a special format. Whether any application other than Photoshop (even
Lightroom...) will recognize that unusual format is always questionable, few do.
I'd suggest using some method other than Photoshop DuoTones to define your
tints; they are not a color managed process anyways, so some other method would
provide more consistancy and flexibility.
