Well I did check (phoned Tech Support at Epson Canada [must be in 
Ontario?...905 area code]) and their man there told me the 880 
cartridge is without a chip so Don is right and I stand corrected. 
Now I've got to go to InkJetMall and tell them that they have it 
wrong...unless this is a US vs. Canada thing where 'South of the 
Border' does have a chip and we don't?...[and if I were paranoid I'd 
say that the US wants/needs a sense of security, ergo: US carts have 
chips...[g]).
