Ink and a decent scanner, paired with Piezo software wins every time. I never was quite happy with 80% of my silver prints from these negs. Many had to be done several times, (posterized tones, or not sharp)The only good thing about 8x10 xray film negs is there BIG! Somebody was doing lightjet output to film for digital negs that looked real promising, Phil Baird maybe! Might try it someday! I only have a few silvers that are as good as the Ink prints, contrast was always a battle. The money I spent on digital negs could have easily bought a 7000! I got into digital because I didn't have an 8x10 enlarger, nor access to one! Plus they cost thousands. Digital let me dabble at my own financial speed. But you should see the size of my recycle bin for ink prints that's almost 4 years old. ;0) No regrets though! Steve M. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
