RE: [Digital BW] installationproblem new MIS Cartridges set

2007-05-27 by Paul Roark

The chips MIS gets have a rather high defect rate. I recommend getting an
extra set. Also, always save the Epson chips. They reset fine.

Sometimes the chip problem is that the cart itself is a hair too short. If
something is put behind the chip so that it extends a bit further out it
might make contact and work fine. The putty MIS ships with the chips to
hold them can be used to do this.

Remco,

I have just hopefully gotten through a similar problem refilling MIS 2200
cartridges with all kinds of resetting problems. I seem to have solved most
errors by replacing several of the MIS chips with Epson chips off empties.
(And resetting) Other troubles seem to come from a seemingly intermittant
SK-168 resetter, but currently up and seemingly running properly. :-) Good
luck.

after installing my new UT7 set of cartridges in the 2100/2200 the
indicators of the Black and Light Black ink keep flashing. After
replacing the black cartridge with the original Epson cartridges every
thing is OK.
I tried everything such as resetting the chip pulling out extra ink
without result. Up to now I did not receive an answer from MIS for this
problem,

Is there anybody who experienced the same problem or can help me out?

If I cannot solve the problem I will have a new set of inkbottles for
sale because I will give up
