Mike, While I have been having some issues with the WHOLE CS3 Design package, printing quality is NOT among them. In fact, I find the new interface of CS3 to be very nice. I am working with XP Home SP2 and using a 4800 to output. First eliminate the possible clogged nozzle, then look into what setting have a new or different default if any. I have printed to the 4800 using CS3, Lightroom and Qimage with a variety profiles and setting; ABW, color, and Digital Negs without a problem due to color management. I did check into the reported issue of CS3 not saving a print set up within a session. I was able to reproduce that problem but only if I printed through another app while CS3 was still open. i.e. Output through Q Image with a print set up in CS3 and not sent to the printer yet. Otherwise, CS3 remembered the "set up to print" just fine. Are these new lighter prints from both new files and legacy files? I was using Paul's profiles and instructions with CS. When I upgraded to CS3 it is obvious that something is very different - all the profiles result in very light prints.
