Digital BW, The Print

I have just installed a full set of MIS spongeless carts on my 2400 
printer.  The lid covering the cartridges does not seat securely 
causing it to pop up and bump into the right side of the printer when 
the head moves back and forth.  This in turn causes a red light to come 
on for one or more of the installed MIS carts.  I can reset, get a 
green light and the printer seems normal until the head moves, lid pops 
and hits the printer on the return to the right side. This is the first 
time I have used MIS carts on this printer but have been very 
successful in their use on several others.

No word yet from MIS on the problem.  Has anyone experienced this?  Is 
there a work-around, trimming of the carts, anything??  I would not 
like to have to go out and buy another set of OEM carts.
