This may not make you feel any better, but I've personally see six 2400 printers die 
because they wouldn't feed properly, including one of my own, which I had to take to the 
dump because of that problem. It may be more common than this, but I'd either send it 
back to Epson or get a 3800 (which although it has similar problems, I've not known or 
seen one die (I have 2) because of it. Mine got so it wouldn't load in any slot!!!
