Silver B&W scans perfectly with the B&W setting but maybe C41 B&W is different? Importantly C41 B&W allows use of Infared...maybe that wants RGB? Butzi's advocating an outright silly workflow IMO. He's paying attention to the "look" of the scan on his monitor rather than his post-processed file (or soft proof) in Photoshop, his print, or Internet image. Bassakward.
