Hello All, I've been lurking here for a long time....learning from you and applying what I've learned. I started B&W with an R800. After following things here I added an R220 for BO. So far the bulk of my B&W work has been on the R220. My first inkset was Piezography K7 on the R800. On the R220 I've played with both Piezo and MIS inksets and with QTR and the Epson driver. My current favorite results come from Piezo K6 inkset set using the Epson driver rather than QTR, I know this is not how it was designed, but the results are great. When I saw that MIS was offering an inkset that allowed for BO printing on the R800 I jumped at the chance. I was expecting to see very high resolution prints akin to the color images the R800 has produced for me. But, that was not to be. In comparison to the R220 (using the Epson driver or QTR) the resolution I get from the R800 with 3MK is barely acceptable. In the midtones through the highlights the droplet size is very large, much like what I used to see on my old Stylus Photo 870. Is it something I'm doing wrong? My QTR settings for printing on the R800 with 3MK using Moab Kayenta are - Paper Type - Photo Quality Inkjet Paper and Matte Paper Resolution - 2880 dpi Speed - Uni-directional Curve - 3MK-MoabKayenta Curve Blending is left at default I'd like to get the resolution from the R800 that I know it can produce. Can anybody give me any pointers on how to fix this issue? Thanks, Eric [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
