Paul.. Premier Art Shield is available in SPRAY CANS from http://www.atlex.com I use it all the time for my inkjet matt and glossy prints Eddie ----- Original Message ----- From: paulmwhiting To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, August 20, 2007 10:56 AM Subject: [Digital BW] Krylon ok for protecting Eboni black-only prints on Moab Kayenta? I've got two types of Krylon on hand: 'Workable Fixatif' the description on the can lists uses including Charcoal drawings. Since Eboni is a carbon product, this sounds like a good choice. The other Krylon is 'UV-Resistant Clear' - it claims to be glossy although I doubt it would too glossy on this paper (haven't tried it yet, but don't want glossy). Its label includes use on photographs, although they probably mean conventional, non-digital photos. I've read on this forum that the only product Epson recommends is 'Premier Art Print Shield' but applying seems like quite a production. You either apply it with a brush or use a large spray machine - it's not in aerosol cans yet. Plus, I'm on a deadline and can't wait for it. So, would either of these Krylon products be ok? The prints are beautiful, thanks to Clayton Jones for his BO writings. They will be bound in a book, a photo on one side of the page only, with onion skin between the pages. I mainly want to protect the prints against fingerprints, etc. Thanks! [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
