My Epson 2200 dedicated to color printing --- I have one dedicated to UT3-d monochrome too --- seems to be terminal (sudden loss of various colors in mid-print, draining of the magenta cartridge after only three prints...), so I've order an R1800. I plan to use Paul Roark's "pure carbon" setup for B&W with the 1800, which makes it possible to print colour as well. The question: Is there any reason why I cannot use color inks designed for the 2200 in the 1800 as long as I can profile the system? I have a significant quantity of MIS Pro inks for the 2200, and it would be a shame to waste them. I am perfectly content with their appearance, and normally print on matte papers. Myron
