Storage of digital data, I see no problem with asking about that here.  It's
an important topic, and is somewhat particular to digital imaging.

Perhaps, but there are some very knowledgeable people here who are
experienced in this very topic, as it relates to digital imaging.  Why not
ask here?

I don't understand why even if you consider other posts off topic, you don't
just ask about the 3000.  I have a LOT of knowledge about the 3000, as I
have two of the, as well as wrote an entire alignment suite for them.  Many
other people here use the 3000 too, and certainly know as much as I do, if
not more.
