Hi Bob, I can only comment on the BW images printed with the ABW driver: I use the 3800 with CS2 (should be similar) on a PC. I had the same problems (1-2 stops too bright) when printing with the advanced BW driver. What helped the problem was to set in the "Print with preview" window to "no color management" (not "let PS determine colors"). In the printer driver window you select the paper type that ressembles your paper and print. According to the paper type you may habe to set "tone" to darker, darkest or whatever applies. Also you should convert BW images to grey 2,2 gamma. Maybe you can at least sort out the problems in BW. Bernie This helped my BW printing, for color I cannot help you.
