Ah, well that explains perhaps what I was observing. I never had an issue until I went with the thicker stock. Having thought it was a curl causing the head strike, I went with a bit of reverse curl. As you point out could happen, I got a worse strike in a slightly different place. Then someone, I believe on this list, suggested to someone else, bending back the trailing left corner of the paper.
