>Just wondering what the latest info is on fade resistance of >MIS UT7 inks, especially versus Piezography. My tests of the MIS UT inks v. the Cone PiezoTone inkset showed them to be essentially equal. MIS UT neutral beat the selenium by just a hair, but that was probably too little to be significant. I consider them equal. One thing I do want to mention, however, is that the UT7 sepia uses magenta and yellow to get there. Cone's sepia is a carbon -- perhaps a weak carbon, but still, I'd assume, stronger than the UT7 sepia approach. >The Cone Web site claims Piezography inks outperform MIS-FS ... The MIS inks were an older generation of the MIS inks -- pre "UT," which is the prefix that designates the current MIS B&W inks. The published Cone fade test is irrelevant to the MIS UT inksets -- totally different. When I've tested the neutral, same-generation inksets against each other no Cone inkset has ever beat an MIS inkset. Again, I consider them equal if the same generation inksets are tested against each other. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
