I just made a QTR Black Only profile for Platinum for the R260 (which is looking very good now, by the way). After doing a number of these profiles, most papers begin to look alike. However, this one is different. The non-OBA paper has a relatively warmer tone -- Lab B = 2. The tonal response curve for the MIS 260 PKN I'm profiling is different than most (this will change with paper). But most unusual is the load of ink this paper can take. Usually I'm getting a dmax of density 2.4 plus or minus 0.5 with a QTR ink load of 65% to 85%. With Platinum the dmax is still on an increasing slope at 100% load, hitting about density 2.25. In short, it appears to be able to take an enormous load of ink. It'll probably take a rip and setup with multiple black inks to reach the ultimate dmax for this paper. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
