I use photo black with Premier Art Platinum. It's, in effect, in the category of the "new technology" "glossy" papers like Crane Silver Rag. With a new formula (not yet public from MIS) 260 PKN2 for the R260 I'm getting about a 2.25 dmax and a tonal distribution that has a Lab B that is about equal to the paper (Lab B=2) and then at about 50% starts into a straight line slope to a 100% black at Lab B = -2. Some would say this is close to a lightly selenium toned silver print. The paper has a fine, almost canvass like texture. With the 260 and QTR in black only mode, the paper makes a very nice display for those who like a bit of paper texture. (The QTR version that supports the 260 is in beta now. The 260 Epson driver does not support Black Only. For the Epson drive I've made a full R2-replacment set. This is also in beta now.) (I found Eboni smeared.) Hope this helps.
