Chances are the chip is not being read correctly in the Cyan position and can actually cause another position to give false too. Try reinserting it a few times and see what happens, wiggle it around. I have just spent the last week with the same issues on a 9800. Cardboard wedges, tape on the bottom of carts, stand on one foot with finger in ear....whateverittakes. Damn that Epson!
