Antonis and Carolyn,
Thanks for the info/tips on the BURP (Buffer Under Run Problem) I was getting...(wINK).
Partitions? Who needs stinking partitions??
My hard drive is about 99.99% full so that is probably causing a problem...I had "lack of scratch disk" problems...gotta cure that scratch too.
Time to archive/offload some images eh?
Take care both of you dear people.
Steadman

Steadman,
this has been a common issue in the CD burning technologies for years.
Recently software like Toast and it's successor from Roxio have added a little
check-mark option specifically to prevent buffer underrun.
Like Carolyn, I am on a Mac and don't know how much of this applies to you.
But with Buffer Underrun Protection on, I can be on the internet and do other
things while CDs are perfectly burned in the background. This would have
been unheard of 5 years ago!
If all else fails, create a partition and put all the data there - but it's a pain, I
know.
Good luck.
