Hi Arlene, You might want to be sure the inks are loaded correctly. See the test files at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Test-files.htm Paul www.PaulRoark.com <http://www.paulroark.com/> _____ From: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of lovelipp Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2007 12:01 PM To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Digital BW] Curves still not working on 7600 Now that I've got the 7600 printing, and printing the full image again, I'm back to trying to solve the curves problem. I use MIS UT7 ink, CFsystem, PS CS2, re-installed, on a Dell 8400. Paul Roark's curves have always worked perfectly for me. I uninstalled and re- installed everything. The Sepia curves with no color adjust checked comes out a reddish burnt sienna color instead of the warm yellowish brown. The carbon curve with no color adjust checked comes out with areas of flat tone obliterating detail. When I don't set any curves and check sRGB, I get the best image, but a very blue tone. I have used the carbon curve for most of my work, sometimes med warm, and always HPR for gallery prints. Same inks, same computer, same printer, same settings. My nozzle checks are perfect, alignment right, all lines flowing, and the phone techs at MIS don't have a clue.Haven't been able to make a print for weeks, and the new chips on the MIS carts for my small printers also aren't working. I've spent a fortune on new chips, new re-setters, new carts, new bottles of ink, wasted reams of paper, and I'm really about to melt down. I don't know where to turn anymore. (Incidentally, out of desperation I bought Epson Ulratone carts for my 220 and it works fine). But it's my 7600 B&W that is for my work. I hope someone can help.
