I have just completed my first print on the Harman paper. The print is made using a 3800 / ABW using QTRICC profile. I am getting a dmax of 2.40. In comparing the print to Innova semi matte print, I prefer the Harman. It is clearly sharper (subtle but definate)and there is slightly better detail in the shadows. This combination seems to give the picture more "glow" The surface is very like an old fiber basse darkroom print, although I think it is a bit glossier than an air dried fiber base. This is based on side by side comparison. Again, these differences are very slight. It has a very smooth surface. The base is bright white, although not as white as either Innova semi matte or the extreemly bright Innova Ultra Smooth Glossy. To my eye, the slightly warmer base is an improvement. My previous preference in these types of papers was the Innova papers. I found the pearl finish of both Silver Rag and Fine Art Pearl very objectionable. Interestingly, a Harman tech rep has stated on another forum that the base of this paper is the same base as is used in thier darkroom papers like Multigrade FB and is coated on the same machine. (A nice touch for those of us with traditional darkroom backgrounds) It is early, but I think I have have found a new favorite paper
