This is not an exclusive problem related to the R800/1800 printers.

I have had paper feed problems with the 2200, 2400, and 3800 particularly
with matte papers. With the 2200 and 2400 they became so acute that I
ditched the printer for the latest model. Not sure where I will go when the
3800 gags more seriously.
