Hi Dennis; I have used the SSC to reset the wastetank cou nter on the R1800, never had any trouble like that with it. Is the 5.0 version out? maybe its 'buggy' if that's the case. My comment was actually refering to the Epson adjustment program that techs use when replacing heads, etc. It is available on 2manuals,com. Fair warning- it seems to have much greater potential for getting into trouble.
