Yes, the Arches 140 needs help to be loaded. It seems as if I grab the paper while it's being loaded, the resistance allows the printer to grab the paper properly. This isn't a "deal breaker" for me. Also, in case it matters, my R800 is one of the very first models that was produced. I don't know if there has been any mods done by Epson since they first released this model. FWIW, I'm using the latest drivers from Epson.
