Digital BW, The Print

hello 
   I bought a set of MIS inks specifically for my new R1800. The directions on the website say these inks are to be  used on matte papers. I bought a pack of trial papers suggested by Paul Roarke because I konw nothing about this. My question is this...if the inks are to be used on matte papers , why is there an ink for the GO spot on the ink carrier. I thought that was for glossy papers.
