Frank, Are you printing through QuadToneRip (QTR)? Paul set up the R800/1800 to print with 3 matte black carts installed in the printer. Paul chose the MK, PK, and GO position for 3MK printing. That way if some one stilled wanted to print color, they still could. If one wanted to use glop, they would just pull the MK cart from the GO position and re-install a glop cart. (This set up works so well for me, that I forget I'm printing BO. 3MK prints real smooth. I like the little courseness of "straight BO", but none of the newer printers permit it.) The directions on the website say these inks are to be used on matte papers. I bought a pack of trial papers suggested by Paul Roarke because I konw nothing about this. My question is this...if the inks are to be used on matte papers , why is there an ink for the GO spot on the ink carrier. I thought that was for glossy papers. > > thanks > frank in NJ > > > > > "The luckiest dogs are those with clipped tails....they're the ones who won't be chasing their own arses." > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam?
