Scott, I will check when I get home. But from what you say it is 3 black inks even though one goes into the GO slot. I imagine I got what was supposed to get as the sales rep was sharp and knew exactly what I wanted for the R1800. so, if I want glossy I put in the OEM GO and print away. If you will, can you answer this....when I print color, can I use the OEM inks and the MIS blacks? I have not downloade the QTR yet. I was going to purchase it tonite and begin trying it out, but, after reading the not so encouraging thread on not so good black and white on matte, I am not sure if I will buy it or not and return the inks if I can. I do hope I have found the process I want to have to do black and white. I do NOT want to go back to the darkroom. I can't stand the smell anymore. thanks Frank --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "scott_now_coming" <scott_now_coming@...> wrote: > > Frank, > > Are you printing through QuadToneRip (QTR)? > > Paul set up the R800/1800 to print with 3 matte black carts installed > in the printer. > > Paul chose the MK, PK, and GO position for 3MK > printing.
