The curling happens when the paper leaves the final rollers and you'll get head strikes on the final 1/4 inch or so of the print. That said I still like the paper and use it for 5X7s out of the 8.5x11 size where the printing is finished before the corners release. If there is a luster or semi gloss profile you could try that and then re-linearize if you have a spectro or scanner. I also wonder about the future of that paper. I'm not really sure of the current relationship with Harman and Ilford. But Harman seems to have eliminated the curling problem in their papers and I wonder whether Ilford will continue to produce under their label.
